VMC Satellite, Inc. wins contract to install Satellite TV
in the United States Capitol Complex.


Fairfax, VA, (October 10, 2002)- DISH Network's largest independently owned authorized retailer announced today that it was awarded a federal contract to install DBS service in the United States Capitol Complex in Washington, DC.

Work will begin immediately to install a satellite TV video distribution system in at least three office buildings occupied by the United States House of Representatives.

The contract specifies installation of High Definition Television receivers in each House office building. The project also includes installation of HDTV in the offices of Rep. Billy Tauzin (R-Louisiana), as well as the hearing room located adjacent to his offices. Mr. Tauzin is the chairman of the House Commerce Committee and is the driving force behind legislation to mandate the full transition to digital television broadcasts by the year 2006.
